SUSAN ALDRIDGE

BLACK BELT 1ST DAN

HANNAH JOHNSTON

BLACK BELT 1ST DAN

I started my training with Kensho Karate Club in 2007. In 2010 I competed in a National Championships winning bronze in pairs kata. I achieved my 1st Dan in 2011, one of the hardest but best things I've ever done. In 2013 I competed in the National Open Championships winning bronze in team kata. In September 2014 I was invited to work  as an instructor for Kensho Extended School Services teaching karate to students 5 years and above in schools in the Gateshead area.

I started training in June 2005, and have stayed with this club ever since. Several months in, I began assisting in certain classes and participating in competitions at regional, national and international level with varying degrees of success. I won my first national gold in kata in 2007, and was awarded my first Dan grade in 2008. Since our club joined the JKS in 2013, I have been fortunate enough to train with numerous top British and Japanese instructors around the country, as well as in the surrounding areas of Paris and in Belgium with the JKS France Nord.
